"Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
"For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
"Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
"Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye?
"You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
Matthew 7:1-5
I'm good at seeing specks in other eyes, but sometimes I think a forest was sacrificed to supply my eye with logs. Some insect is now extinct because its natural habitat is gone, yet I manage to look past my iLog collection.
In heaven there will be no self-righteous people. We will all truly be righteous, and know fully that none of that righteousness is of ourselves. Heaven will be filled with Christ-righteous people, and there will no longer be a need to be told not to judge!

At least logs are quite fashionable in some circles. Just think of all of the stylish designer things you can do with them!
I know the feeling. I would prefer to be able to claim that I don't, but if I did, I would have to make room for another log.
Love you.
I long for the day when we see perfectly and when all we see is the glory of Christ. But we are here and occupy - and do that badly sometimes. I for one am desparately in need of a Savior. And grateful to have a perfect One.
Jon and I have had several discussions about the log and the speck. Sometimes I could use a good forest fire. Thanks for the reminder :).
