I want to travel, but I can't do it right now. I had plans to, but they were changed. Now I suppose I'll just have to wait until some time in the future! I love seeing new places and doing new things. I think that life ought to be lived, and travel is one way that I like to live mine. It adds something that I enjoy and broadens my understanding of the world.
I can say that my plans to travel went awry, as the best laid plans of mice and men often do.* I prefer to say that the mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.**
I have made any number of plans in my mind about what my life will look like and what I will do. Somehow my plans don't really unfold the way I thought they would. One thing remains the same whether the plans succeed or fail (and they often go awry!): God is faithful. If there is one thing that I have learned over the course of the past year and a half, it is that we serve a trustworthy God. God has me where I am for a reason. He will direct my steps. I can trust Him when I cannot see the path ahead of me. I can trust Him when nothing makes sense. I can trust Him when my heart is disappointed. I can even trust Him when my heart is broken. He is doing what is best for me, and if that requires pain, I will seek joy in my trials because I know that God is at work in me.

Your faith is very inspiring.
I have never been enthusiastic about travel, but I am sure I will do some.
God Bless
Matt
I agree with Matthew. :)
I totally understand, Angie! Just had to recently sacrifice my trip to China (again). No travelling for me this summer... unless I can come visit you for a few days... ;-)
