This hymn has been on my mind for the past few days. I think it's a great one!
Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes.
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious - Thy great name we praise.
Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice, like mountains, high soaring above
Thy clouds, which are fountains of goodness and love.
To all, life Thou givest - to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest - the true life of all.
Thy wisdom so boundless, Thy mercy so free,
Eternal Thy goodness for naught changeth Thee.
Great Father of glory, pure Father of light,
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All praise we would render - O help us to see
'Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee.
From Psalm 5
4 For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness;
No evil dwells with You.
5 The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes;
You hate all who do iniquity.
6 You destroy those who speak falsehood;
The LORD abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
7 But as for me, by Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house,
At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.
11 But let all who take refuge in You be glad,
Let them ever sing for joy;
And may You shelter them,
That those who love Your name may exult in You.
12 For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD,
You surround him with favor as with a shield.

Truly a great hymn, Angie. I love the hymns that are inspired by Bible verses!
Thanks, Sarah. I agree that hymns so inspired are wonderful.
Keep the hymns coming, Angie.
If you insist ;)
Nice to see you back. I look forward to hearing your report on the conference.
Angie,
Do you suppose God is up to something? Independently, from what I can tell, three of us have posted the same hymn. See Joe’s post here.
