Sometimes I forget...

Sometimes I forget how competitive I can be. Tonight after church a group of us went to play miniature golf (put-put golf for those of you from the regions that call it that) and I was reminded that I really like to win. I didn't. Not even close. By the end of the game I really didn't care anymore, so losing was no big deal, although I would have enjoyed winning quite a bit! At least I have grown out of some of my temper and don't throw a fit when I lose like I did as a child. I am still competitive, though!

After the game we went to the ice cream parlor right next to the course and had some ice cream. Nicole and I shared a bag of salt and vinegar chips. It is a bit strange to eat them with ice cream, but we both really like those chips and wanted ice cream, so, strange or not, that's what we ate. We drove past the school I have to report to tomorrow morning, since it was on our way home, and I think I know which route I will take to get there in the morning. There are a few different ways, so I might experiment this week to see if one is faster than the others. I am really looking forward to seeing my kids tomorrow!

I think I would have finished the crisps before starting the ice cream.

Yesterday I had a huge bag of Jalapeno chilli and lemon favour crisps. I love eating huge bags of crisps on the Lord's Day afternoons.

My family have a competitive streak, but in me it is tempered by my laziness.

Every Blessing in Christ

You haven't experienced true competitiveness until you've played Spy Alley or Clue with me and my siblings. We're ruthless.

Becky can vouch for me. I think she thought we were going to eat her alive.

Matt, what if your ice cream melted while you were eating the chips? That wouldn't be good. ;)

Jalapeno chili & lemon? Sounds fantastic! I probably would have really liked them.

Tim, I imagine that I have played rather competitive games with you and your siblings. I practically lived at your house for a few summers when we were growing up! I think the only thing that didn't involve some kind of competition when the boys & girls were around each other was probably collaborating to sabatoge Jon's bedroom & bathroom.

You can have a bag of them when you visit.

Yikes! I misspelled sabotage! Horror of horrors! My sincere apologies to my dear readers for that one.

Matt, I might just have to take you up on that offer.
