Knute reminds me of myself right now. School just gets in the way of blogging and cooking and other things I'd rather do. This semester was horrible. I used to be a really good student, but I managed to develop such advanced procrastination skills that although the semester officially ends today it is going to continue for me for at least another week or two. I have to get my papers done. Fortunately my teachers are extending grace. For the first time in many years I don't care about my grades - I just want to pass!The good folks over at Despair.com are so good at expressing such attitudes in their demotivational posters. I think they say that every last one of their posters is appropriate for "disaffected college students." This disaffected graduate student happens to find them rather humorous, not in the least because I think motivational posters are, by and large, really corny. Here is one that I resonate with now.

Procrastination is not a good thing and we all tend to fall into it. I hereby encourage you to get back to your studies.
This is my philosophy: The sooner I get it done, the sooner I get to devote my entire time to my fav. hobbies!! Oh, and not little voice in the back telling you to get up...
Yes, and pray for me. I really need it right now, since I feel so very little motivation to get my work done. There it hangs, like a dark cloud hovering over my head, threatening to rain on me at any moment. (Have I ever mentioned that I really love Eeyore?)
Don't forget to use spell check on your papers! ;)
